Craig Martell on fri 30 oct 98
Hi Ray and others who wanted this:
I got the receipe from Jim Robinson, who got it from the Cushing Handbook.
The Handbook version is the one that I've tested and is as follows:
Reitz Green-Cone 10 R or Ox.
Nepheline Syenite 70 Cao 0.27
Whiting 5 LiO2 0.09
Gerstley Borate 2 MgO 0.01
Petalite 15 K2O 0.15
EPK Kaolin 8 Na2O 0.48
Cobalt Carb 1 B2O3 0.06
Rutile 1 Al2O3 0.91
SiO2 4.03
The only difference between this receipe and the one posted on Clayart a few
days ago is that the other contained 8% Ball Clay instead of EPK and will be
a bit lower in alumina. This glaze has more alumina than is required for a
cone 10 glaze.
thats about it, Craig Martell in Oregon
