report on the craft business institute

I've just returned from the Craft Business Institute in Baltimore. This
program is a winner.... very comprehensive. How to sell, what to sell,
trends, advertising, promoting yourself, slides, how to price your work are
just a few of the sessions. Among the presenters were well-known
craftspeople, gallery owners and business executives. All the presenters
were extremely generous with their time and gave numerous one-on-one
consultations, including evaluations of our work. Just about any question
could be answered on the spot. I wholeheartedly recommend this program for
anyone considering marketing their work. This opportunity to meet with more
experienced craftspeople and to talk over our concerns with others
contemplating the marketplace was an invaluable experience. And throughout
the whole weekend, there was fabulous food to keep up our strength!

Any idea if the program will be repeated? Locations?

The conference is held in Baltimore, MD and currently is held in
September, although that may change. Send email to CBI@rosengrp.com if
you want on the mailing list.
