Janet,
Go. Especially to this one. There should be lots of potters. You will find
your community. It can be a bit overwelming to go alone for the first time
unless you feel comfortable by yourself so it might be good to bring a friend.
If you're not shy come alone.

Someone at an NCECA once asked me if I was there by myself. It stopped me in
my tracks. I replied, "well, I came by myself, but I'm here with 2,000 of my
best friends."

Go, you won't regret it. If you're lonely come find me at the RISD table.
Hope to see you there.

I have never been to a NCECA show...what can I expect?
I'm a student a I.U. in Indiana . Is it worth going everyday or just
a day or what ....?
I sent for information but never received it yet.Do they have how to
do seminars? Ellen from Indiana Where the winters are cold, damp and
gloomy but the warmth from a wood stove and hot Yoggie tea and good
music...and a wheel of course does wonders

Check out this website, kindness of Louis Katz. It has information on
the programs as well as how to contact Regina Brown, Executive
Secretary. http://nceca.net
If possible, register for all at least three days. This gives you the
tours of exhibitions as well as all the programs and the party Friday
night. Wonder of Soldner and friends will streak this year.

Also, sack cloth and ashes on my head. I big omission in my previous
message message made the last sentence meaningless. It should have
read,
"It is one of the best deals you can get for the cost. Great programs
and demonstration, lots of vendors to meet, good ideas floating around,
wonderful exhibitis, the Glaze and Clay Doctors, a tour of the town,
the chance to try out new restaurants, and - above all - the opportunty
to meet other Clayarters! You will find out what we REALLY +look+
like. [exept for mel. he uses a double.]"
