Hi there everybody. I was wondering if anybody had a ^6 satin clear glaze out
there. I have been testing many many glazes and would be happy to share with
anybody that is interested. I prefer a glaze with no zinc because it messes
with my colorants, bad bad zinc. Thank you. Also, if you have any other ^6
recipes I'm always willing to test.

Hi Cindy I would love to share my sating matt ^6 glaze with you...just let
me go and dig for it! I dont mind sharing seeing that someone else gave it
to me to get me started in the world of glazing! I am off to work this
morning (my part time job...)and I will look for it this afternoon and then
email it to you later! I also have some different variation of that glaze
in a gloss, semi-gloss, matte, semi-matt, and a satin clear without the
zinc!

Just give me a day or so to locate the paper!

Cyndi,
When I saw your message, I had just been re-reading a CM from 3/97, and
there is an article by Wayne Bates, and he gave a "Satin Matt Clear" which
he used over engobes.

Can this be used single fire?

I'll bet this is a good durable glaze - I'll also bet it will craze on more
than a few clay bodies - especially any cone 6 vitrified porcelains.
