Hi... I'm just returning to Clayart after an 18 month sabbatical from working
in clay... (coincidentally, I have an 18 month old son.... hmmm....)
I am now able to build a basement studio in our home and am wondering if
anyone has advice, experience or helpful hints in regards to designing this
space to be as efficient and comfortable as possible. I will be continuing to
use an electric kiln with a Baily vent (vented outdoors). The furnace and
water heater are also located in the basement, however will be isolated in a
utility closet with a door. I am following the thread on homeowner's
insurance with great interest, and any further concerns of this nature also
interest me. I would much rather do this correctly the first time and would
greatly appreciate anyone's insight and assistance.
