slip-cast thickness?

Can anyone tell me what the pratical limitations are for maximum thickness
in slip casting? Or do the problems come when firing thick pieces?

Rob, I use a SG of about 1.7 to 1.75 for our slip. Havn't had any problems
with thickly cast pieces but if too thin, have had warping.
