Joyce, you are not alone when it comes to looking for extruder info. Maybe
it is our living in the desert. ;) I too have had a difficult time finding
much on extruding clay. Here and there in a magazine will be an article on
the subject referencing the use of an extruder or using it for a certain
project. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a book available that dealt with
the subject in depth? I for one would appreciate it so that I could get the
full benefit of the device. If you get any suggestions pertaining to
available books, please share it with the list. Merry Christmas!

The best article I ever saw on extruding came from a Studio Potter issue on
john Glick printed about 6-7 years ago. It was very comprehensive. Had very
good information on fabricating dies. If reprints are available from Studio
Potter it would be worth getting. Barring that perhaps your local library
carries back issues.

When I had a question re: extruding small tubes last summer, several respondents
(thank you again) mentioned that there was a book in process re: extruding. I
don't have any other details, but maybe someone else knows.
