The Art Studio on sat 22 aug 98
The Art Studio, Inc. Is hosting a workshop featuring Victor Spinski and
Verne Funk in Beaumont, Texas on Nov.6,7,8. Anyone familiar with either of
these gentlemen know their level of expertise and their threshold for fun
both rank high on the scales. The Art Studio,Inc. is developing a
reputation for having too much fun as we educate our community of Southeast
Texas and this workshop should not be any different. Verne will
demonstrate his handbuilding techniques and Spinski will discuss molds,
slips and anything else he would like to present. Anyone interested can

Back in the Spring I was one of six Artists ( the others were Tom Belden,
Gary Greenberg, Joyce Jablonski, Constant Albertson and Chuck Wissinger)
invited to do their stuff at the ART Studio Inc. in Beaumont, Texas. I
think I can safely speak for the group when I say we all had a great time
(Texas hospitality?). Greg Busceme and all the folks there were terrific,
friendly and energetic which made the workshop very productive and
enjoyable. The studio building, an old industrial building, is amazing.
I just heard that Victor Spinski and Verne Funk will be doing a workshop in
November. I would encourage anyone within driving distance to attend, not
only for the workshop with Victor and Verne which will be great, but to
experience a workshop at the ART Studio Inc.
By the way when we were there they even had serious belly dancing local cops
with drummers as entertainment, including a snake, bloody hilarious.
