Hi, once again folks... has anyone have a clue as to how I
can ship a kiln (large one) from Gainesville Fla. to Greensboro, NC? I
found a freight company that will ship, but will not crate it.. I
appreciate any info at all... thanks in advance... gracie

Gracie,
For crating and shipping kilns, try looking for machinery movers or export
shippers in your yellow pages. My guess would be that the machinery
movers would be the better bet.

We had to move all the kilns several times over a few months of construction
at the community college. i'm assuming you are talking about an electric (
the brick you would dis-assemble and then put back together). We packed the
insides with styro peanuts, tight. it kept everything from springing out
everywhere and had minimal damage.
