why i throw stems upside down

Hi there!!! I'm very happy to hear that people are interested in
goblets and why I throw the stems upside down. I prefer to do this
because I like to have a rather tall stem and it seems easier to throw
it that way. Also, I'm into the elegant form and the beautiful soft
foot you get from throwing it upside-down is appealing to me. I haven't
had any problems with my stems warping in the firings! It also help
that I go to ^6 for glaze and my clay can fire to cone ^10. I'm sure
people might have problems with warping with certain clays but, thank
the clay gods I haven't!!! Good luck experimenting! Cyndi
