Charlie Riggs will conduct a two-day workshop at Jordan Hall Art Center,
Cary, NC on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday September 20.
Workshop fee: resident $96.00
nonresident $115.00
Saturday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Sunday: 9:00am - 3:00pm
The workshop will center around raku firing (a variety of glazes
including copper matt, lusters, and crackles), saggar-firing in a raku
kiln and throwing techniques.
Each student is asked to bring up to 3 bisqued pieces created from raku
clay--glazes will be provided. In addition, each student can bring a
small burnished bisqued pot (one that would fit inside of a cone box)
for the sawdust firing in a saggar.
Space is limited to 10 individuals.
