I have a request from a fellow mud-slinger inquiring about yellow banks
clay. It is not listed in any of her catalogues and she is interested in
its composition. she shall be switching to woodfiring soon and is
investigating making some new clay bodies for the new kiln (currently only
1 layer of brick under ice and snow). She is interested in yellow banks
401 and 104. What is it, what is the analysis for it and what are good
substitutions for it? I think it would be a good idea to find out who
carries it also, but she is interested more in finding a substitution for
it. TIA for those who might know. other Barb in Bloomington
