At UF we're contemplating making a push for a new studio slab roller.
Our current Bailey doesn't work well (it's old) in spite of some new
parts. We are considering the new NorthStar heavy duty model, which has
metal gears instead of the plastic gears in the personal studio model.
The warantee on the NorthStar is greater than Bailey's, and I've been
assured by a supplier I rely on that NorthStar goes the distance for
customer service and satisfaction.
I wondered if anyone has gotten and used one of these under the kind of
tough condidtions that regular school use provides, and would be willing
to comment, either to me directly or to the list if you think it's of
general interest.
