Ben...check out Fred Olsen's THE KILN BOOK and his fastfire chapter. He has
done it, and explains the process well. With regards to fastfiring with
wood, I happen to use Fred's design in a 40 cubic foot version, and achieve
beautiful ash on the pots with about a 9 hour firing, burning between a
quarter and half cord of wood. It's an excellent design and fires very
efficiently.
By the way....Marcia Selsor was going to post some cone 6 reduction glazes
that I never saw posted...did I miss them somehow?? joan
