Hi Everybody=21=21=21=21
First, I would like to say how much I enjoy this list=21=21=21 It is =
wonderful=21=21=21 I
always tell people that potters/clay artist tend to be some of the warmest =
and
most helpful people you could meet.... This list helps to prove =
that=21=21=21 I am
hoping to be able to go to NCECA so I can meet some of you in person.....
Actually if someone... anyone... can help me with an answer to my question I
will be more likely to be able to go=21=21=21=21

My question is....
How would I attach a motor I've scrounged to my kickwheel??? I have a
ThomasStuart kw, with tubular metal legs. I've looked in the archives and =
found
info on things to use for the contact wheel, but nothing about actually
attaching the motor to the wheel. Any ideas and/or suggestions would be =
highly
appreciated=21=21=21

As to how this info affects me going to NCECA or not...... Well I (actually =
my
knee), decided I needed to get a motor for my kw. I like the feel of a kw =
(knee
doesn't), so I don't really don't want to switch to an electric wheel. I =
know
I can buy a motor kit from ThomasStuart, but I could be using that =24=24=24=
to go to
NCECA. I already have the scrounged motor, all I have to do is figure out a=
way
to get it set up.

TIA
Cara Z.
In Southeastern Ohio..... Only 2 1/2 hours from Columbus OH.... and the =
NCECA=21=21=21
Oh please, someone have the info I need=21=21=21=21

I used a metal mounting plate attached to one leaf of a strap hinge.
The other leaf of the hunge is arttachedto the wheel frame. To use it,
I just lift the back end of the motor with my toe, amd the other end
pivots down such that a 'hockey puck' on the wheel shaft contacts the
kicking surface of the wheel.

Good luck.
