Dan Anderson will be presenting a workshop at Mt. Hood Community College in
Gresham , Oregon February 27+28. In this two day presentation Dan will
make and assemble pieces, present his slide show, talk about and demonstrate
surface techniques such as sandblasting, decal application, soda fire and
wood fire. He will bring a recenly made video of his Anagama kiln- the
making and firing. On the first day of the workshop the soda kiln at school
will be fired under Dan's guidance. Participants can have a piece included
in that kiln if sent ahead--(limited scale please). Dan teaches at the
University of Illinois-Edwardsville with Paul Dresang. They have a great
program going and this is a good opportunity for students who are looking
for a place to complete their degree work to get a first hand taste of the
program. Cost $40 general public, $25 OPA member or current Oregon college
