To the list,
After checking the archives, now I'm baffled. Did I see
a recipe for a fireproofing solution for fabric (having to do
with wholesale displays/shows) that was a simple formula such
as borax or some such thing. I keep these kind of things usually.
but I just can't find it in my own archive as well as potters.org.
Can anyone help?

Jack or Cindy,
Here's a fireproofing solution that has appeared in Clayart in years past:
6 parts borax
5 parts boric acid (drugstores usually carry this)
100-150 parts warm water
soak or spray (spray is probably better)
=============
I don't know who originally posted it, maybe they'll reappear!
Hope this helps.
Don Goodrich glad to have hoarded all those old Clayart digests
