Hi folks! I'm thinking about trying to do some of my glaze firing at
home in my electric kiln (I do it all now either at Northern Clay Center's
gas & soda kilns or at friends' woodkilns.)

I'm interested in the translucent types of majolica that is
used over slips. I've seen some interesting amber glazes someone
locally uses on a red body, with a white slip. An interesting thing I
like about the work (besides the lively shapes) is that there is a warm
mark at the edge of the glaze on the pot. I am assuming it is something
soluable in like gerstley borate or soda ash in the glaze or slip.
Anybody have any recipes?

Anybody have the link to Linda Arbuckle's majolica glazes that are on
ClayArt's server? I misplaced my hardcopy.

Thanks,
