I will be traveling to Turkey this summer for a week. Anybody have any clay
related "must see's" for this country?

I fired my first teapot this weekend............glaze came out very
smooth.............pretty, pretty, pretty :-)................of course I
have been having my morning tea out of it each day.

Best to all,
Billie

Must see the Topkopki Museum/palace in Istanbul. Greatest collection of
Oriental Ceramics I've ever seen (China, Korea, Japan), Tiles in the
Harem aren't bad either. Always check out the Archaeology Museums in
such places too. Down the hill from the Arch. Museum is a small cemetary
with great forms of tombstones. The hats indicate the status and trade
of the deceased. Enjoy!

Billie,
Go to the National Historical Museum in the capital of Turkey, Ankara. Just
out of sight! Stuff you've seen in art books and history books. Was there last
summer.
Good luck. "The Clay Stalker" Richard Ramirez
