I am interested in network/discussion about teaching clay without a
wheel.
Currently, I teach adults at a Community Education class through my
local Community College.
Recently, I brought a number of foot-long extruded cylinders, squares
and triangles to class. Students used them as starting points. As well
as the predictable vases, one student made decorative birdhouses.
I am always interested in ideas of new things to keep students'
interest. I get paid as to how many students sign-up for class. I live
in a rural area and new students are hard to find, gotta keep the class
fun for returning students...
