Clay artists of all levels will have an opportunity to learn from three
of
Clayart's own.....
On Saturday, March 6, 1999, mel jacobson, Dannon Rhudy, and Doug Gray
will demonstrate and lecture about their particular area of expertise.
Known by Clayarters for their thoughtful, informative and *sometimes*
provocative posts, these Hay Creek Potters will share their wit and
wisdom
in a day long workshop at the Murrells Inlet Community Center, Murrells
Inlet, SC.
As featured in the March 1998 issue of CM, Dannon will demonstrate her
innovative technique of hand building pots with textured slabs within
wheel-thrown molds. Doug will show us his methods for creating double
walled forms as seen in the Winter 1999 issue of PMI. Mel? Need I say
more? He will tell stories and make us all laugh too much, and his
experience, skill and wisdom garnered over the years will make for a
delightful, informative and inspiring workshop. See the December 1997
issue of CM.
All this *AND*:
***Morning coffee and pastries provided by The Clay Shop.
***Barbeque buffet lunch provided by the Arts by Fire Guild.
***Oyster roast Sunday, March 7 at my house.
......More fun than potters should be allowed.
Cost: $60.00 before February 19 (after, $70.00).

I have submitted this message to Clayart twice this week, but it must
have been lost in the ether somewhere. Please note that the price
changes on February 19. If anyone was going to register before then,
but did not because this message was posted late, please let me know. I
will make sure you get the early rate.
Thanks,
