REPEATED KILN REPLACEMENT PART FAILURE
Sometimes a heating element, switch or other part fails
each time it's replaced. Below are some of the causes of
repeated parts failures:

1. Loose connectors on a switch. Loose connections burn
the switch terminals and melt the plastic of the switch.

2. The wrong element has been installed, subjecting the switch
to too much amperage. This causes the switch to burn out.

3. Contamination is hidden in an element groove. Each time
a new element is installed, it burns out from the contamination.

4. Sand from the shelf filters into the switches or contaminates
the elements. When using sand to prop porcelain pieces,
be careful not to spill the sand into the kiln.
