I called Mile Hi to check on the glaze woks as possible forms for casting
sink molds. The smallest one is 18" That is a large size for a sink. Most
cabinets will accommodate, at most, a sink that has a 16" countertop
opening. There has to be a little room in front and enough in the back for
fixtures. My small one takes a 13" opening and my larger one is 16". I
remember some time back, when this thread went around earlier, that there
were people who stated that a sink was a just bowl with a hole in it.
Without an overflow, the only drain that can be used is a utility sink
drain. Other drains have holes for the overflow to drain back into the
drain pipe. There really is a lot more to it than just the drain hole. My
favorite description of this is sinks follow plumbing.
