lowfire fluxes

I am thinking of expanding my glaze repertoire and could really use some
help. I fire to cone one and use a couple of base glazes that have
worked very well in the past and still do, but boy i"m getting tired of
doing the same thing and getting the same results. Even if they are
attractive.
What fluxes should i experiment with other than gerstly borate and
fritts. Any suggestions. What about soda feldspar, nepheline syenite or
some of the more exotics like plastic vitrox lepidolite ext?. Could
stable glazes be made useing these as fluxes perhaps in combo with
gerstly borate or borax to lower the melting point?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I am passing on my list of different fluxes to you so here goes, and
good luck.

FLUX"S

barium carb
bone ash
calcium carb
colemanite
cryolite
dolomite
flourspar
lead ox
magnesium carb
manganese carb
potassium crb
soda ash
strontium carb

these are the ingrediants that are just fluxes, there are many that are
clay, flux, and glassformer. Jennifer in Alpine, Tx
