Thought I's throw my two cents in on this one...I've had a Brent Model C
for 7 years, got it used from a school sale, and have never had a problem
with it. Although the literature says it is built to throw a max of 15
pounds of clay, I regulary go over the limit and have never had a problem.
When I go to get a bigger wheel, I will be strongly tempted to get a Brent
