Donn...useful posting, thanks. The comment about the brooder lamps
reminded me that I had seen industrial lamps (2 lamps about 24" apart on
a stand about 4 ft. high or so)for sale in Lowes the other day and
wondered if they would work for photography although that was not listed
as a use. I got waylaid and never investigated the wattage, etc.,
however. Anybody ever use these? Carolyn

Grainger has reflector clamp lamps with ceramic sockets rated at

Wattage isn't the big deal here. It is the color temperature of the light
given off. Fluorescent lights have a color temp. which leans toward green,
where as, normal house lights are more toward orange. Read the leaflet
inside a pack of Fujichrome and it will give you some useful info. Maybe not
about these specific lights but helpful none-the-less.
