I have a Skutt wheel that I bought used about 9 months ago. I love it. I did
research it before I bought it. There's one guy at Skutt that was there when
they still made wheels. He's a wonderful resource. Apparently, they made 2
kinds. Mine is the one that has an orange base and beige splash pan. It's
reversible (with a plug under the unit). My source at Skutt said that was the
only one to buy because you can still get at least some of the parts for it.
While I can't center much more than 15 pounds at a time, he says he's seen
people center 50 pounds on it. I believe it. I can't slow it down the way I
can the Pacifica's at the community studio. If you have any questions, call
Skutt. I found them to be terrifically helpful.
