Anne James wrote an article about her work in Ceramic Review issue 174
(Nov/Dec 1998) She says she uses lots of different lustres and keeps trying
them out. She uses only pure turpentine for mixing, thinning and cleaning
up. She also says, "These materials do contain some nasty solvents. I now
work in front of a good industrial fan and use gloves. Do not treat them
lightly."

You can also read about her in Raku, A Review of Contemporary Work by Tim
Andrews Black/Chilton. Frank and Janet Hamer have four photographs of her
work (plates 31,33,34,35) in the 4th edition of The Potter's Dictionary of
Materials and Techniques, Black/Penn

Anne is a Fellow of the CPA (Craft Potter's Association) and her address is
listed as
Ashleigh
Gloucester Street
Painswick
Gloucestershire
GL6 6QN
England
so you could always try snail mail. If you can't get hold of the Ceramic
Review and want details of her clay body and slips email me directly.

Who had the pleasure of meeting Anne at a Potters weekend held by South
Wales Potters. I had recently bought one of her pots, a beautiful turquoise
bowl which sits on a ring covered in thread to match the colours of the pot.
