No problem Erin. Snit Away!!! The system you describe works very well on my
kiln. Have used it for about 9 years on my old electric kiln. The use of
:)))) means I'm joking, and is used alot on list exchanges and chats. I
threw that in as there are 3 of us in our area now with this reduction
chamber, and we are all women, and we all have a second person when we fire.
It makes it easier to have a second person tossing on the reduction
material, while the other one pulls the pots, as well as a fire hazard
precaution. We eat chili, and good stuff, smoke, drink a ton of coffee, and
share glazes. We smile at each firing, as at some point during a days
firing, a man usually shows up, and the first thing they want to do is put
the lid of the reduction chamber on and off for us, all by themselves. This
isn't a problem, just a chuckle. My poor old grey matter is so damaged from
Raku smoke, I can use all the help I can get. I'm far to busy sending out
the plans, to work on the one person operation. Happy Potting!!!
