I do alot of slipcasting I am currently using alcosperse as a
defloculant I've heard good things about darvan 7 .I am wondering is
darvan7 hard on molds? Also, does the casting slip stay in suspension?

Darvon 7 according to my reading is easy on molds and helps to promote
longer life because their is no soda to leave a residue and hence weaken the
mold.

Otto....Sandy...whomever....
I always found R. T. Vanderbuilt Co.'s Darvan # 7 to be the most
stable deflocculents around....had good luck with it for 13 years at
Bennington Potters, Inc......We made LOTS of slip.... !
Their TECH MAVIN is one of the best I ever knew.
His name is Conrad Reigger, I believe. Hope he is still there for you
to talk with..regarding deflocculation.
