We are looking for a creative ARTISTIC DIRECTOR who has the ability to design, m
- Setting up new studio
Please note, we will provide the studio, equipment, furnishings, supplies and ma
- Selecting production methods employed by the new studio
Slip cast, pressed, handbuilt, thrown or any combination
- Choosing clay, glazes and firing temperatures
- Supervising, training and motivating employees
- Creating designing effective marketing programs for the products
Including arts and crafts shows, wholesale, retail and consignment sales
We anticipate that the Artistic Director will have support with general operatio
We are looking for a candidate who has the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 to 4 years of ceramic production experience
- Broad knowledge of technical issues relating ceramics, including material hand
- Experience developing new product lines
- Solid arts-related business knowledge and experience
- A fine arts degree (teaching experience would be a definite plus)
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- A strong desire to help others help themselves
Pay package includes an annual base salary based on experience, a production inc
