I heard Axner will be hosting a hospitality suite in the Hyatt Regency Hotel
during the NCECA conference. The Suite will be open from 9AM until 9PM on
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Some events they will have are:
BOOK SIGNINGS: Authors will be signing copies of books they wrote or were
written about them, they include Nils Lou, Paul Soldner, Susan Peterson, Robin
Hopper, Jack Troy, Paul Scott, Jim Robison, Steve Branfman, Janet Mansfield,
Wendy Rosen, Don Davis and Rosette Gault.
THROWING CONTEST: A throwing contest will be continually held until our clay
runs out. The four contestants that throw the four tallest pots on a York Kick
Wheel will each win a free York Kick Wheel.
WORKSHOPS: Three workshops will be held in the hospitality suite including one
on Paper Clay led by Rosette Gault, one on INSIGHT Ceramic Chemistry and
Recipe Management Software for Calculations in the Ceramic Sciencesled by Tony
Hansen. Also one on ITC High Temp. Ceramic Coatings led by Mel Jacobson.
FREE TATTOOS: Beautiful temporary tattoos with the Axner Logo will be given
away at both the hospitality suite and the Axner Booth numbers 64 and 65.
BOOK SALE: 135 pottery related titles will be available for sale at great
discount prices! They will be available in the Hospitality Suite and Exhibit
Hall from 9AM TO 5PM.
