I am looking for a wheel to take to shows for use in demonstrations, i.e.,
it should be transportable with a dolly, able to take getting dirty and
bounced around. A small kickwheel would be ideal to avoid dependence on
electricity.
Are there any recommendations out there? Axner advertises the York
kickwheel. Do those of you who own one think it would do the job?

I take my Thomas Stuart to craft shows. Need an extra back to help get it out
of my trailor, but move it on a dolly on the ground. Once it's in place and
leveled it works great.

Axner had one intheir hospitality and had a contest and if the pots thrown on
it were any indication I would say it can do the job.It was small
suficiently heavy.I did not personally use it.The question I might want to
ask is what kind of surface must it be on to rotate level.I looked like it
had a lazy susan type bearing system under the base when I tipped it up.The
next small kick wheel I've seen is the Stewartt but it is not as compact to
pack.
Good luck,
