Greetings Everyone:
I wanted to take a moment to thank Nils for his book, "The Art of Firing".
It is written in a laungauge that I can understand at this stage in my clay
experience. It has taken away all the head scratching trying to figure out
what other books have attempted to explain regarding different types of
kilns. Not only that,I know what the different types of kilns have to offer
as far as finish is concerned. The illustrations are simple to understand
and yet educational. The photos add a great deal to the text, giving a
visual explanation.
I for one now feel much more confident, knowing more about how kilns work
and why they do what they do.
So thanks Nils, you made a difficult subject easier to understand.
