what to do with fiber blocks

Several months ago I was given a huge assortment of fiber-frax. Most of
it is in blocks, and/or strips that are about 8" wide and range from 2-6"
in thickness. Much appears to be in slightly used condition - one side
is a little crusty.

How can I go about using this material in kiln building? Can it be
combined with castables, layered between brick concourses? If the kiln
were placed outdoors, what would any weather considerations be? It's a
little too thick to button as in use for a raku kiln - can the layers be
separated safely?

It's all packaged up in plastic bags, or packed tightly in boxes for
now....I used all precautions when I handled it. But where do I go now??

Is this worthwhile to utilize or am I wasting valuable space just storing
this stuff. I'm such a pack-rat, but it's time to move onward....

finally building that kiln.....
