tent and I thought I might the clayarters to help me discover a little of

Any suggestioons ? What is absolutely indispensible for the ceramic student

Get to Taos,New Mexico.Santa Fe is OK,but very hoity-toity.See Taos
Pueblo.Check out and marvel upon the highly polished black-ware of the San
Ildefonso potters. The real stuff is truly amazing!Acoma Pueblo is famous for
the tiniest fine line drawing on their ware--brushes made from yucca
fibers.Top all of that with some of the most beautiful country in the
world(and the best summer weather) you can't go wrong.

If you come to Arizona its probably best to plan to stay in the northen part of
the state during the summer if you're in an open jeep and plan to camp at
night. The top of the Grand Canyon will be OK but if you want to walk down be
sure you talk to a ranger before you go. It's about 115 degrees F at the
bottom. The evenings are not too bad in Sedona, Jerome and Prescott and in the
White Mountains in the eastern part of the state but the days are still PRETTY
WARM. In the 90's.
Wherever you are in Arizona in the summertime---have plenty of water!!!
Have a great trip.
Dinah in Tempe AZ where we'll probably get close to 100 today for the first
time this year
