Hi, ClayArters:
Some friends and I are getting ready to dig a permanent trench-pit kiln, not
at a beach, put in some nice dirt. The one problem we might have is
drainage. The placement of this pit will be at the bottom of a small hill
(the only available spot) so that any rain run-off will, most likely, head
right into the pit. Has anybody had this type of problem? And solved it?
French drains were mentioned, but would that work just with dirt, or would it
need a cement base? Any suggestions?
Hope somebody out there can envision a solution.
