As usual, i am late with a reply! ; )

For the person who was making tools out of bamboo: There's a book
called "The Japanese Pottery Handbook" by Penny Simpson/Kanji Sodeoka
that has a section devoted to making bamboo tools. If you can't find
the book, let me know and i'll send you photocopies of that section (or
anyother if you want).

Next about ^6 Celadon, i have found that celadons in general are usually
made fired reduction to get their respective attributes. It has been
hard to reproduce them in an electric (oxidation) kiln (well for me
anyway), but i did receive two recipes from Jennifer Assinck that i
enjoyed (if you are reading this Jennifer, thanks again! The teal blue
was very nice), and I'm sure that she wouldn't mind it if i gave the
recipes to others to try.

anyway, enough of me and my $.02!

have a nice day!

You can get the book for $14.40 at Axner.com. Just search for
'japanese pottery' at the home page. You'll have it in a couple of
days.
