Just a reminder>>>>>>>>>The response has been good thus far but I would
appreciate it if all of you would spread the word....Thank you.

Deadline: April 30th, 1999

POTTERS - To be considered for inclusion in a prospective publication of
contemporary American pottery please send the following:

Resume, 3-5 publication quality 35mm slides (identified with name, clay
body, temperature, technique, title, photo credits), statement, your
marketing venues, & SASE for return of materials.

Questions? Call 301-662-0369

I have developed a mailing list of approximately 300 potters and they
will be getting an individual post card with this request. In addition, I
have placed an add in Ceramics Monthly this month requesting the same
information.

Conceptually, the focus of this publication will be utilitarian pottery.

It will not emphasize pottery that simply implies use, or large vessels
not intended for use, or ostentatious work that belies use. The
orientation of this publication will be directed to creative,
unique and beautiful pottery that exists because it was originally
intended for service in everyday life.

This type of pottery making is a noble yet rather unglamorous
undertaking if there ever was one. And, it seems to me, one that deserves
long delayed recognition.

Thank you for your help in this project.
