The very best extruder just happens to be between your index finger and
your thumb. this handy little device is very flexible. It can make
grooves both mean and soft. the mean ones are gnenerally made with the
thumb nail. It can make extrusions that are long and thick, short and thin.
With lots of practice it can make handles that make ordinary pots look
great. I have owned a Bailey and a North Star but by far the very best is a
southpaw.
There is no easy solution to great handles. Extruders are like phone sex.
They really aren't like the real thing.
Cheers,
Tony
P.S Check between your index finger and your forefinger and you will find
the very best chamois you can buy. You won't loose it either.
