I'm interested in the feasibility of a car kiln in a soda or salt
atmosphere - is anyone using this combination, and how well does it
work...

Mike,
I just finished building my 4th soda/salt car kiln. It works really well.
There are a few things to watch out for in designing the car/firebox area,
otherwise its a great idea, saves the back and much time loading. You can
