Have tested Ron Roy's #2 black and it turned out well on my clay bodies. But
I had to add 1% Black Mason(chrome free) stain to make it black, not dark
brown. Will this affect the food safety of the glass? Thanks to anyone who
can tell me and thanks very much, Ron, for sharing this glaze with us.

It might. Why don't you have it tested and let the group know the
results. That is the only way to know. That stain adds manganese into
the glaze so you might want to test for both Mn and Co.
