I'm toying with making some table lamp bases, maybe 18 inches or more
tall. Do any of you have a source for silky lampshades without having to
go into the city, which I avoid more and more? (However, if I really
want something and can only find it in the murk, I'll go...and try to
fit in a museum or gallery or two.) Such stores used to be everywhere;
even our small town had a "lighting" shop with a variety of shades for
sale. Maybe they're still readily available somewhere but I haven't
found them. Thanks for any suggestions...even large city-directed ones.

In the Mojave enjoying the cool weather, but sad that it looks as if the
abundance of desert wildflowers won't be repeated this year.
