Hi,
I have gotten many positive comments about the photos of my work I have up
on the net. I want to thank everyone who responded and put it out there
again for those who might be interested in seeing my work. I changed the
subject line because some folks may have gotten tired of the "NCECA"
discussion subject, and may have skipped over it.
I am also interested in suggestions for finishing this type of work. I have
been using stains and red iron oxide fairly often because I can control it
easier than any glaze I've tried. Ideas??
Check out some of my sculptures, let me know what you think--I'll be adding
more as time goes on.

Thank you, Michelle, for sharing your work with us. What a wonderfully
talented person you are! Your skillful, touching sculptures brought a
lump to my throat. Knowing you the little bit that I do through Clayart,
I'm going to be presumptious enough (since you asked for comments) to
say that your work not only reflects your talent, but speaks of the
inner Michelle in great gollops. Remember that I'm art-ignorant and have
never used that kind of artspeak before this ("gollop" is "artspeak,"
right?), but it's so apparent, even I can't miss it. What a gift! Thanks
for sharing and having the courage (since I know it took courage) to put
yourself out there. Keep it up. Another clayarter, whom I admire very
much, told me recently that "all we make are self-portraits." Guess I'm
beginning to see that and find it a bit frightening.

thoughts daily, raising questions which result in much pondering, and
offering me an inner life I hadn't expected and am not quite ready to
accept...

Just a note to echo the sentiments of Joyce Lee. Michelle's work, on the
page she has given us, is the work of a poet. "Sublime" is the word that
comes to mind. Please, check out these sculptures

Oh wow! I don't often go surfin', because this end of the pond
phonecalls are so damn expensive, but I am so glad I went to this site.
Poignant is what comes to my mind, make your heart catch in your
throat, so lovely.
