salt kiln plans

Hello clayart people,
I am interested in building a smallish sized propane fired stoneware
salt kiln (35 cu ft approx). If there was a basic materials list (ie;
approx # of brick, kind of brick, appropriate furniture types,
supplier(s) of brick, any particularly good kiln wash like zircon, etc.)
it would greatly help in planning construction. I'd prefer do a
cantanary arch, but if there's a more appropriate kiln form, I'd
appreciate hearing about it. This project would take place in south
central Massachusetts. Would anybody know where or if such generic info
exists?

Please send me any responses to my email address (I'm not on clayart at
this time).

Steve: Ruth Tudball's book on Soda Firing gives a catenary arch castable
kiln designed by Jack Dougherty in England. A friend from Northern Virginia
built one of these kilns and she is very satisfied with the design. I'd
check out the book. Barbara
