Sheri Sweigard / One Day Ceramic Workshop / Sheri Sweigard
Saturday, June 5, 1999 10am - 4pm at the studio of Dodge Lane Potters'
Group in Sonora, California
Limited enrollment - $20 (includes clay and lunch)
Sheri will share techniques of how to build forms that are angular and
precisely shaped with clean lines. Other demonstrations will include
texturing slabs and sculpting other forms. Students will build a sculptural
form out of slabs.

Currently, Sheri teaches at Sierra Nevada College, at Lake Tahoe, as well as
directing the Summer Visiting Artist Workshops there. She has taught at the
college level for eleven years, previously in Colorado. Sheri received her
MFA from Claremont Graduate University where she studied with Paul Soldner,
and she received
her BFA from University of Colorado where she studied with Betty Woodman.
Her work has been shown in several national juried shows and many local
exhibits. Sheri has a great sense of humor and loves to share information
with her students.
