How to say this? I have a new story brewing, if I knew where they
came from I could give this one a sharp wack on the head, because it
is really making life difficult. I have ransacked the local library with no
success and really the questions are a bit nebulous to get a decent
answer off the web, so could any of you please help?
I don't need wildly specific info, sort of fussy reality would be fine.
1 Where would be a good place to situate a working farm, some horse
breeding, cattle and ????
2 Nearest town? Nearest city? How far? What is the winter like?
3. Where would stuff be bought to start a studio from scratch, a wheel,
kiln, pug, chemicals and the like? Probably best not to mention a
company per se, but geographically where?
I know this is an extremely odd request ( I threw Jenny in London a
curve ball too) but I would be very grateful for some info.

SW Ontario (where I live) has a lot of cattle and horses - especially trotters
and pacers. Beef cattle are predominant (as opposed to milk cows). Sheep,
goats, emu are here too. Home/land prices are dependent on where you live of
course, but you can live within an hour's drive of London or Windsor (pop. over
300,000 each) and get affordable property.

London is about 2 hours from Toronto (Canada's largest city) and Windsor is
across the river from Detroit . Winters in this area are moderate - we live in
what is called the "Carolian Belt". We have fruit trees here that grow in the
US south such as peaches/nectarines and we can grow Magnolia trees (which I
adore!) Expect -2 to -10 C temperatures late dec through mid feb. with the
occasional cold snaps just for fun :-) Snow in our end of Canada *generally
speaking* does not stay long on the ground.

Toronto has both Pottery Supply House and Tuckers - home of our own Ron Roy
