Just thought that this might be a good time to
mention that libraries are often good sources
for boxes and packing material. Book boxes
are heavy duty - books are dense - and most
libraries get shipments in everyday and don't
have much use for the incoming boxes. Every
library in which I've worked discards plenty
and will probably be happy to let you take
them off their hands. The only limitation is
that book boxed don't get very large. They
also get peanuts, bubble wrap and other packing
material for which they don't have any use.
Note, branch libraries may not do any direct
receiving, so you may have to go to the main
branch. And bigger libraries get more stuff.
