Can anyone out there provide detailed information on the

There is a detailed description of a self loading fire box (
essentially a bourry box ) in Michael Cardew's " Pioneer Pottery ".

The bourry box design and history has been covered extensively over he
last 20 years. Try A Pioneer Potter by Michael Cardew, Studio Potter
Magazine and Pottery in Australia. Layed Back Wood Firing by Steve
Harrison is available from Pottery in Australia and gives plans and
firing instructions for a 12 cu ft single bourry box kiln.
