I signed up for a porcelain workshop (Pots: Porcelain
Possibilities) with Susan Filley at the Appalacian Center
for Crafts. Has anyone seen her work or taken a class with
her? What's it like? What's she like?

I'm looking forward to it!

Susan,

In response to your question about Susan Filley as a workshop teacher...
she's great. She has a lot of information, is a very organized and
patient person, loves clay and communicates that. She's an excellent
thrower and has been working in porcelain at least since her grad school
days at LSU in the early 80's, and has worked steadily as a studio
potter since then. Susan is also interested in materials and firing, and
loves to talk shop. She is now a Director at Large for NCECA and is very
well-informed about the national ceramics scene. At the NCECA conference
in Columbus she was in charge of the benefit auction of works for the
NCECA endowment.

I think you'll go home happy.
Linda
